Afghan rugs produced on the border of Pakistan by mainly Afghan weavers. Bearing the characteristics either of a Mahal, Meshkabad, Ziegler or Agra and other old decorative designs. They are produced in Pakistan both in Ghazni or normal wool. Ghazni wool has better durability and shine. Also spelt Choubi or Choobi (or any other phonetic spelling). They are also most recently just referred to as Ziegler rugs, since most Chobi rugs are being produced in the Ziegler design, and with commonly only the Chobi Gabbeh rugs being the only Chobi to deviate from that design.
